Shimmering effect
Shimmering effect. Glittering particles that vary in intensity depending on the angle from which the surface is viewed.
The COMET process is characterised by the incorporation of glittering, crystallised or pearlescent particles into the surface of the ceramic during its manufacture. This effect lends a touch of luxury and elegance to any ceramic design, adding a striking visual element.
Application Process:
• Digital design: The design is printed onto the model.
• Application of shimmering particles: The shimmering, crystallised or pearlescent particles are applied to the surface of the ceramic.
• Firing: During firing, the glitter particles fuse with the surface of the ceramic, creating a long-lasting shimmering effect.
• Cooling: The piece is cooled, ensuring that the glitter particles are perfectly bonded and long-lasting.
