Features of kitchen countertops
Thanks to its ability to adapt to any size, use and style, it is possible to create high-performance, high-quality surfaces combined with the most cutting-edge designs.

Resistance to heat, stains and scratches
XTONE kitchen countertops are made from large-format porcelain stoneware, a technical material that is resistant to heat, stains, scratches, moisture and cleaning products. A solution designed for everyday use and high-demand environments.

Hygiene and easy maintenance
Their moisture resistance and low-absorption surface make daily cleaning easier. Furthermore, these kitchen countertops do not require sealing, which reduces maintenance work.

Visual continuity thanks to the large format
Thanks to its large format, XTONE makes it possible to minimise joints and create countertops, islands, cabinet fronts, built-in tables and bespoke pieces with a seamless, architectural look.

Realistic designs with premium finishes
Their realistic designs and advanced textures add visual depth and a tactile quality, turning the worktop into a centrepiece of the kitchen.

Porcelain and natural stone worktop options
XTONE offers two worktop solutions: large-format porcelain tiles and Altissima natural stone.
XTONE porcelain stoneware is the ideal choice for those seeking technical durability, low maintenance and lasting aesthetic appeal. Altissima, meanwhile, offers the unique beauty of natural stone, with slabs selected from quarries in various countries, ensuring a distinctive look for every project.

Thicknesses available depending on the material and intended use
With XTONE porcelain stoneware, the most common thicknesses for worktops are 12 mm and 20 mm, although 6 mm options can be considered with the appropriate reinforcement. For Altissima natural stone, the most common thicknesses are 20 mm and 30 mm, depending on the type of stone and available stock.

Advanced integration options
XTONE allows for the integration of sinks and, in specific projects, concealed induction hobs, subject always to technical approval and professional modification of the kitchen worktops.

Frequently asked questions about kitchen countertops
Can you cut directly on an XTONE countertop?
XTONE porcelain stoneware offers high scratch resistance under normal domestic use. Nevertheless, we recommend using a chopping board to preserve the sharpness of your knives, prevent surface marks from metal, and keep your worktop in the best condition for longer. In professional kitchens or where the worktop is subject to heavy use, this recommendation is particularly important.
Can XTONE be used with concealed induction hobs?
Yes, XTONE can be used on worktops with concealed induction hobs, provided that the design, machining and installation are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications of both XTONE and the induction hob manufacturer.
This application requires specific modification of the worktop. In the Smart Kitchen system, a 200 mm machining-free zone must be maintained around the entire perimeter of the hob. The hob may be positioned 65 mm from the edge, although the recommended optimal position is 100 mm; machining for extractor hoods integrated into the worktop is not permitted.
For the concealed hob control panel, water jet cutting is recommended; there must be at least 50 mm of space below for installation, and the control panel may be fitted in the same module as the hob or in an adjacent module, whilst maintaining the specified minimum clearances. It is also recommended to use Butech Concept XPS panels or equivalent as reinforcement on the underside of the worktop, except in the areas reserved for the hob and control panel.
Before specifying an XTONE worktop with concealed induction hobs, it is recommended to validate the design with the technical team, confirm the appropriate thickness and finish, request the relevant machining drawings, and ensure that the installation is carried out by a specialist stonemason or worktop fitter.
Why choose XTONE for a kitchen countertop?
An XTONE worktop offers a combination of design, durability and ease of maintenance, making it particularly suitable for kitchens in daily use and premium projects. XTONE large-format porcelain tiles are characterised by low water absorption, heat resistance, stain resistance, ease of cleaning and a surface that requires no sealing, provided they are installed and used in accordance with the technical recommendations.
Is XTONE suitable for food contact?
XTONE is a mineral-based surface with low porosity that is easy to clean, and is suitable for kitchen applications when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. For official documentation regarding food contact, emissions, product safety or certifications, please refer to the current declarations and certificates available in the XTONE technical documentation.
Can a hot frying pan be placed on XTONE?
XTONE withstands heat much better than materials containing resins or organic binders, so it can cope with the thermal stresses typically encountered in a kitchen. Nevertheless, as a precaution, it is advisable to avoid extreme thermal shocks and to use trivets when handling cookware subjected to very high temperatures or sudden changes in temperature.
What is the recommended thickness for kitchen countertops?
XTONE kitchen countertops are typically available in thicknesses of 12 mm or more, depending on the design, the structural strength required and the intended use.
Can XTONE worktops be made without visible joints?
XTONE’s large-format worktops allow you to create continuous surfaces with no visible joints, giving a clean, uncluttered look and making it easier to keep the kitchen hygienic.
Can undermount sinks be fitted in XTONE?
XTONE enables the integration of under-counter sinks through specialised machining techniques, creating seamless and functional solutions for high-end kitchens.
Does XTONE allow for custom cuts on site?
XTONE can be cut to order, always by qualified professionals using specialist tools designed for large-format porcelain tiles, ensuring precision and safety.
Is XTONE resistant to contact with acidic foods such as lemon or vinegar?
XTONE offers high resistance to household acids such as lemon juice and vinegar, keeping its surface intact on kitchen worktops even with intensive daily use.
