Certain XTONE surfaces are suitable for outdoor use thanks to their low water absorption, stability against UV radiation, frost resistance and good performance in the face of temperature changes. It can be used for outdoor flooring with a non-slip finish, ventilated façades, cladding, tables, outdoor furniture and outdoor kitchens, provided the correct product code and finish are selected for each application.

What outdoor solutions does XTONE offer?

XTONE offers outdoor solutions in large-format porcelain tiles and Altissima natural stone: flooring, wall cladding, ventilated façades, tables, outdoor furniture and outdoor kitchens. All products designed for outdoor use combine weather resistance, stability against UV radiation and ease of maintenance, whilst maintaining the material’s aesthetic appeal and technical performance under conditions of continuous use.

What finishes does XTONE recommend for outdoor flooring?

For outdoor flooring, XTONE recommends products with a non-slip finish, available in a thickness of 10 mm. This finish ensures greater safety in damp areas, on terraces, in gardens and on outdoor walkways, without compromising on the aesthetic appeal of large-format porcelain tiles.

Can Altissima natural stone be used outdoors?

Yes, in certain applications. As it is natural stone, each Altissima material must be specified according to its technical characteristics: hardness, water absorption, porosity and sensitivity to weather conditions. Before finalising an outdoor project using Altissima, we recommend consulting the stone’s technical data sheet and seeking advice from the XTONE team or a specialist stonemason.

What thicknesses are recommended for XTONE outdoor solutions?

For outdoor use, the most common thicknesses are 6 mm for cladding and façades, 10 mm for flooring with a non-slip finish, and 12 mm for worktops and façade applications requiring greater strength. The choice of thickness will depend on the intended use, the installation method and the technical requirements of the project.
